2013 Topps Chrome hobby box

Sport:  Baseball
Product:  2013 Topps Chrome hobby box
Break Date:  October 12, 2013

Breakdown:  Two guaranteed hits - both autos

Summary:  Topps Chrome is the sister product of the standard historic Topps baseball product. The copy on the box promises two autographs, which are generally rookies or prospects. While not as prospect-heavy as Bowman/Bowman Chrome, the autos that you're likely to pull here are of similar value - maybe the prospects pan out, and maybe not.

This box in particular was, well, loaded. Rather than the two standard autos, there were three - the case hit was in one of the packs - a /10 Jay Bruce patch auto. There was a /100 Michael Wacha Black Refractor rookie which made this Cardinals collector happy, and one of the autos was a Christian Yelich refractor /499 - he's a solid prospect, so it's a good pull (at least today).

Getting an extra hit will always push the grade up on a box, so it's an overall win.
