2014 Bowman Baseball value pack

Sport:  Baseball
Product:  2014 Bowman
Break Date:  June 7, 2014
Hit Breakdown:  Three purple parallels
Summary:  We were at Target over the weekend picking up some last-minute stuff to send my oldest son off to sleepaway camp with (and, well, because we're always at Target on the weekends), and I cruised over to the card section to see if there was anything intriguing.

First thing that caught my eye was the rack packs of 2014 Archives, but I picked up a value pack of Bowman because it's a fun break. Good thing I did.

The first hit came out of the first pack - an auto, and a Blue /500 at that. Shawn Pleffner's actually having a decent season down in Single A also, so that's always a bonus.

Not much out of the second pack - a lone Hometown parallel.

Then, there was a shiny flash of purple in the last pack, which is always great - a purple refractor, numbered to 199 - son of Wayne Gretzky, Trevor Gretzky.

Not much to write home about out of the purple pack, and the Kris Bryant drought continues (current tally is two hobby boxes, two blasters, four value packs, and no Bryant).
Grade for the product:  B+

Blue Prospect Autograph /500:  Shawn Pleffner
Chrome Prospect Purple Refractor /199:  Trevor Gretzky
