Product: 2013-14 Hoops Wal-Mart retail blaster
Break Date: November 17, 2013
Hit Breakdown: No guaranteed hits
Summary: 2013-14 Hoops has turned out to be a solid product, much better than the last two years. Having opened a few Target blasters, it was worth it to give Wal-Mart's version a shot.
The main difference between the two retail outlets is the blue parallel rather than red, so pulling a blue Lebron James was a nice hit. There were a few rookie parallels as well.
Out of the gate, it was the Michael Carter-Williams rookie parallels that were the hot commodity (outside of the autos). As time has progressed, though, the Above the Rim insert set is looking like a sleeper hit. Prices have continually gone up on the retail-only inserts, with the cards selling for a solid dollar amount on eBay, so pulling two of the inserts – Kawhi Leonard and Zach Randolph – was nice.
Overall, Hoops continues to deliver solid results. While hitting an auto would have been nice, the overall break was decent enough.
