2014 Bowman Platinum baseball blaster

Sport:  Baseball
Product:  2014 Bowman Platinum blaster
Break Date:  August 8, 2014
Hit Breakdown:  No guaranteed hits
Summary:  One of my vendors at work gave me a $25 Target gift card, so I figured, what the heck? Let's go back to the Bowman Platinum well.

Yet again, a home run.

Like the gift that keeps on giving, the early Bowman Platinum blasters are loaded. If the thing had just been the base/inserts, I'd have been happy.

Big name rookies?

Check. Byron Buxton and Kris Bryant were in there, and unlike my first break of this stuff, their corners were in good shape.

Good inserts?

Check. There was a Cutting Edge Stars Carlos Correa and a Top Prospects Byron Buxton. Again, big name rookies.

Decent parallels?

Check that box, too – there was a Chrome Prospect Marco Gonzales, so I got a nice PC card out of it. There was a red Nick Castellanos, and a gold Dustin Pedroia (the second I've pulled).

And then, there was an auto – Chris Flexen. Not a big name, but an auto out of retail is always good, and with Bowman Platinum (or any prospecting product), it may be three years before the card's value is really evident.

So, four blasters into Bowman Platinum and the tally is three autos. Not too shabby at all!
